Hybrid Cleavage / Breast

Cleavage RefinementHybrid Cleavage Augmentation

OverviewHybrid cleavage augmentation is a procedure that builds overall volume with implants while using autologous fat grafting to soften the transitions along the cleavage and upper pole. We design a natural, well-balanced breast contour tailored to your body type, rib cage structure, and soft-tissue thickness.

Implants provide the volume, while autologous fat perfects a truly natural cleavage.

POINT 01

Filling the cleavage where implants cannot reach,
softening visible transitions with fat.

By adding a soft layer over the volume created by the implants, margins become gentle and the cleavage line connects naturally.

POINT 01Candidate

Recommended for

Those with thin soft tissue over the cleavage who can feel or see the edges of the implant

Those with a wide gap between their breasts who struggle to achieve a defined cleavage

Those who desire a confident, flattering silhouette in swimwear or low-cut necklines

Those with rib cage asymmetry or significant variations in chest wall contour

Those with chest wall variations such as pectus carinatum (pigeon chest) or pectus excavatum (sunken chest)

Those concerned about constricted or tuberous breasts with a narrow lower pole

Those who can feel implant edges or notice rippling after implant surgery

Those who wish to soften and smooth a hollowed upper breast line

Those who have developed a double bubble deformity under the breast after implant surgery

POINT 01CANDIDATE

Recommended for

01

When you desire a natural-looking cleavage

· Those with thin tissue along the cleavage, causing implants to be felt or show through
· Those with a wide gap between the breasts whose cleavage is not well defined
· Those who want a confident silhouette when wearing swimwear or low-cut tops

02

When structural correction of the rib cage is needed

· Those with an asymmetrical rib cage or pronounced differences in contour
· Those with chest wall variations such as pectus carinatum (pigeon chest) or pectus excavatum (sunken chest)
· Those concerned about constricted breasts with a narrow lower pole

03

When you wish to refine your post-surgical contour

· Those who can feel implant edges or see rippling after implant surgery
· Those whose upper breasts appear hollow and wish to soften the contour
· Those who have developed a double bubble below the breast after implant surgery
· Those seeking to correct an unnatural result from surgery performed elsewhere

The most suitable approach varies depending on your body shape and breast tissue condition. We will guide you toward the method best suited for you during your consultation.

POINT 01PRINCIPLE

Amorata’s Principles

Exceptional results begin with uncompromising principles

01

We use only fat harvested on the day of surgery

The survival rate of fat cells begins to change the moment they are harvested. Amorata uses only fat freshly harvested on the day of surgery.

02

We use single-use disposable cannulas

A brand-new cannula is used for every fat grafting procedure. This fundamentally eliminates any risk of instrument wear or contamination.

03

We provide hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)

We deliver an abundant supply of oxygen to both the surgical and donor sites, helping the grafted tissue stabilize smoothly.

04

A procedure refined over more than a decade of focus

Cleavage fat grafting is a signature procedure that Dr. Han Seung-beom has dedicated himself to refining over many years.

05

Often Chosen Alongside Breast Implant Surgery

Many patients choose to enhance their cleavage along with breast surgery. This is because they also wish to address the areas that implants alone cannot fully fill.

Doctor's Comment

"The cleavage is the first thing you notice after surgery; a truly beautiful breast begins with a natural-looking cleavage."

The true perfection of breast augmentation is revealed not merely by volume, but by the gentle curve that flows into the cleavage. With hybrid cleavage fat grafting, which uses autologous fat to fill the empty space between breasts and balance chest wall asymmetries that implants alone cannot address, we pursue harmony and balance rather than mere artificial fullness.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q.1

Why is fat grafting needed if implants are already being placed?

Because each serves a distinctly different purpose. Implants establish the overall volume of the breast, while fat grafting delicately covers areas that implants cannot fully address—the cleavage valley and the upper pole transition. In slender individuals with thin soft tissue, implants alone may result in visible borders or a wide, artificial gap between the breasts; adding a layer of autologous fat over the implant softens the visual contour and provides a remarkably natural texture to the touch.
Q.2

How much of the transferred fat survives?

A portion of the transferred fat is naturally reabsorbed, while the engrafted fat remains semi-permanently. In general, about half of the grafted amount is known to survive, and once absorption stabilizes over the first 2 to 3 months, the remaining volume settles permanently into place. At Amorata, we calculate the injection volume by accounting for expected reabsorption, noting that individual retention rates depend on your tissue condition. Postoperative hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is also utilized to create an optimal environment for early graft survival.
Q.3

Where is the fat harvested from? Is it possible for slender individuals?

Fat is typically harvested from the thighs or the lower abdomen. Because cleavage fat grafting only requires a small amount to soften the borders rather than filling the entire breast, it is often quite feasible even for slender patients. The harvest site and accessible volume are evaluated thoroughly during your consultation.
Q.4

Will my breasts look and feel natural after surgery?

That natural look and feel is precisely the goal of hybrid fat grafting. Covering the upper breast border where the implant contour begins with your own fat softens both the cleavage line in clothing and the tactile feel to the touch. However, the final result is determined collectively by the type of implant, the placement plane, and your individual tissue thickness, meaning fat grafting alone cannot address every structural concern.
Q.5

Is the recovery period longer than implant-only surgery?

No, the recovery process for the breasts is essentially the same as with implant surgery alone. Since only a small volume of fat is harvested to refine the cleavage area, discomfort at the donor site is minimal, and a dedicated compression garment is usually unnecessary. Although minor bruising at the harvest site may occur in rare instances, it resolves naturally over time. Recovery experiences may vary from person to person.
Q.6

Is there a risk of the grafted fat clumping or causing complications?

Our injection technique is designed specifically to prevent these concerns. At Amorata, rather than placing fat in a single concentrated pool, we perform structural fat grafting, depositing micro-droplets across multiple tissue planes. For grafted fat cells to survive, each droplet must make direct contact with surrounding vascular tissue to receive a blood supply; this multi-layered micro-distribution creates the ideal environment for survival while significantly minimizing the risk of oil cysts or clumping. If any concern arises, it can be evaluated via ultrasound, and we advise you to simply inform your examiner of your fat grafting history during routine breast screenings.
